The Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) is an international organization that fosters cooperation among Portuguese-speaking countries in various fields, including politics, economy, culture, education, and science. Comprising nine member states – Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Timor-Leste – the CPLP works to strengthen historical and cultural ties among these nations, promoting an environment of solidarity and joint development.

One of the CPLP’s main goals is to promote the use of the Portuguese language as a shared heritage, encouraging linguistic and cultural exchange among its member countries. The organization also focuses on initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for its populations, advancing social inclusion, sustainable development, and peace. Through programs and partnerships, the CPLP seeks to bring Lusophone nations closer, enhancing cooperation in essential areas and reinforcing the common identity of their populations.
