Eligible Participants:

Students from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd cycles and faculty members from the University of Coimbra; if funds remain, students and faculty from partner institutions located in Portuguese-speaking countries (CPLP) who do not have permanent residence in the destination country are also eligible.

Eligible Activities and Duration

1. The Santander Mobility CPLP 2024 Scholarships are mobility grants aimed at supporting mobility expenses and apply to study/internship or research/teaching activities that have been demonstrably initiated and, preferably, completed in the 2024 calendar year.

2. This program awards scholarships, not applications for mobility activities or acceptance by the host institution.

3. The minimum eligible duration of mobility is three full weeks for research or teaching activities, two full months for internships, and three full months for study mobility.

4. The periods mentioned above do not include travel days.

5. Applicants must hold a nationality different from the country where they intend to undertake the mobility period.

6. Candidates who have received another scholarship from UC or Banco Santander for the same activity submitted in this competition are not eligible.

Eligible Institutions

1. Eligible institutions under the Santander Mobility CPLP 2024 Scholarships include the University of Coimbra and all institutions with which UC has a valid cooperation agreement at the time of mobility, located in a CPLP country.

2. In the case of internships recognized by UC as relevant to the students' academic journey, institutions that formalize an internship agreement with UC will also be considered eligible.

Application Period

1. The Santander Mobility CPLP 2024 Scholarship competition for the 2024 calendar year will be open from May 14 to June 14, 2024.

2. The competition will be advertised on the Banco Santander and University of Coimbra websites, as well as through other suitable communication channels.
