At MPOWER, it is believed that they are not only expanding access to higher education but also creating graduates with a global mindset, multilingual skills, and cultural competence, ready to tackle the world's most pressing issues in science, technology, business, and public policy!

In recognition of the extraordinary potential of these students, the MPOWER Global Citizen Scholarship was created. It is intentionally designed to be as inclusive as possible, reflecting the broad and diverse experiences of international students.

**Deadline:** July 31, 2024

Scholarships are awarded annually to international and DACA students enrolled in MPOWER-supported schools.

**Awards:**

- Grand Prize: $10,000

- Honorable Mentions (2): $2,000 each

**Eligibility Requirements:**

- Must be accepted or enrolled in a full-time degree program at a U.S. or Canadian school supported by MPOWER, and

- Must be an international student legally permitted to study in the U.S. or Canada, as applicable:

  - To study in the U.S., the applicant must meet one of these criteria:

    - Holds a valid visa that permits study in the U.S.

    - Is protected under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)

    - Is a U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder)

  - To study in Canada, the applicant must meet one of these criteria:

    - Is a Canadian permanent resident

    - Holds a valid Canadian study permit
