The Universidade Lusíada de Angola operates in Luanda, Cabinda, and Benguela (Lobito), and this academic year, it will expand its activities as Polytechnic Higher Institutes to the provinces of Huambo and Lunda-Sul. It offers nine undergraduate degrees: Architecture, Law, Accounting, Business Management, Human Resource Management, and Economics.

This institution has made significant contributions to the development and reconstruction of Angola by training professionals and providing opportunities for others to gain education. Just this year, the Universidade Lusíada de Angola made available 1,780 spots, 126 more than the previous year. There are 33 full-time professors and 11 scholarship holders pursuing master's degrees on an exclusive basis, as per the master's scholarships granted by ULA's administration. The exchange of professors and students between Angola and other countries is frequent, and top university assistants from Universidade Lusíada de Angola are awarded scholarships to pursue master's and doctoral courses that are not yet available at the Angolan Lusíada University.

For the current year of 2013, the Rector of ULA (Mário Pinto de Andrade) stated that the university's challenge is to lay the foundations for developing collaborations with other national and international higher education institutions, both public and private, as well as with civil society and the business world.

With 13 years of existence, Universidade Lusíada de Angola has grown not only in student numbers but also in its fields of study. The university offers nine programs, including Architecture, Law, International Relations, Human Resource Management, Economics, Business Management, Accounting, Computer Science, and Psychology.

It has more than 80 classrooms and an auditorium, various computer labs, and specific rooms for teaching architecture. Universidade Lusíada de Angola also has a psychology clinic for practical lessons.
