The Lusíada Higher Polytechnic Institute of Huambo (ISPLH) is a private higher education institution founded by Saber Angola, Lda.

ISPLH is committed to addressing the social needs of the Huambo province in general and the city of Huambo in particular, respecting these needs and remaining true to its institutional mission.

In July 2011, Saber Angola, Lda. submitted a project to the Ministry of Higher Education and Science and Technology for the creation of the Lusíada Higher Polytechnic Institute of Huambo.

ISPLH aims to fulfill its institutional mission and meet Angola's urgent needs regarding workforce qualification, thus contributing to the economic, social, and intellectual growth of the country.

ISPLH is located in Academic Region V, which includes the provinces of Huambo, Bié, and Moxico. These three provinces boast great cultural diversity and a concentration of economic, demographic, and technoscientific resources. Its headquarters is situated in Huambo Province, in the Baixa neighborhood—at the former facilities of Casa Americana, covering a total area of 11,000 square meters.

The mission of the Lusíada Higher Polytechnic Institute of Huambo is based on the commitment to provide quality education, scientific research, and extension services, with the necessary rigor to adequately prepare its students for future professional activities, enabling them to develop their life projects as citizens aware of their rights, duties, and social responsibilities, thus becoming a strategic institution for the development of the academic region in which it operates.
