Mission
The Instituto Superior Politécnico de Humanidades e Tecnologias aims to promote higher education, as well as research and university extension, particularly through the production and dissemination of scientific knowledge for the economic, political, and social development of the province.
The institute is committed to investing in a teaching and learning process that enables its graduates to meet the needs and expectations of the job market and society, equipping them with the competence to formulate, systematize, and share knowledge in their areas of expertise. To achieve this goal, the institution will promote higher education integrating research and extension, aiming to train professionals with the skills to participate in the social, cultural, political, and economic transformation of the state and province.
Its duty is to guide and develop initiatives that enhance the quality of education and, in turn, the formation of responsible individuals committed to their self-development and the progress of society. In this regard, the institution shares this responsibility with students, future graduates, and local organizations. The institution aims to be a reference in the Huambo Province, committing itself to promote educational development in the province and participate in integrating graduates into the job market. It understands that the dynamic interaction with society in general and the job market in particular defines its current and future academic fields of action.
Recognizing the growing importance of knowledge for professional training and the development of society, the Instituto Superior Politécnico de Humanidades e Tecnologias aims to produce knowledge by linking teaching with a deeper understanding of the reality that its graduates will integrate. In this sense, the institute's guiding principle is to provide training that balances technical and humanistic development while promoting a systemic vision in students.
Moreover, the professional training process must encompass a series of commitments to social reality, as the individual participates in its qualitative construction while simultaneously engaging in professional practice that contributes to solving local and regional problems. To fulfill this mission, the institution operates under the premise that, as a promoter of higher education, it must possess a rigorous, solid graduation policy that is organically linked to a societal and educational project.
