The Instituto Superior Politécnico, referred to as "BITA" or ISPOB for short, is a private higher education institution governed by the legislation pertaining to the Higher Education Subsystem, as well as the education system and other applicable laws in the Republic of Angola. It is promoted by the company António Luwengo & Filhos, Limited, registered under number 485-A at the Fourth Notary Office of the Luanda District on March 25, 2015. Its headquarters is located in Luanda, at Direita do Sanatório Street, nº 72-A, Kilamba Kiaxi municipality. 

The institution meets the technical-pedagogical requirements for formally establishing degree programs in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Psychology, Management, Law, Nursing, and Clinical Analysis and Public Health. In accordance with the powers delegated by the President of the Republic of Angola, and following point 3 of Presidential Dispatch nº 289/17, dated October 13, and item g) of Article 15 of Decree nº 90/09, dated December 15, nine undergraduate programs have been established, conferring the academic degree of Bachelor.

BITA, a name derived from the Kimbundu term (wa bita kia), designates a neighborhood with approximately 5,500 inhabitants in the Camama commune, FlorBela district, municipality of Belas, Luanda Province, Republic of Angola. Bita is an area experiencing rapid urban growth and is composed of notable locations such as the Verdas Flores Condominium and others. The choice of this name for our Polytechnic Higher Institute reflects its geographical location.
