The Instituto Superior Politécnico de Benguela is a private higher education institution that was authorized to be set up by Executive Decree no. 109/11, of 5 August. It is part of Angola's higher education subsystem and is dedicated to promoting higher education, research and providing services to the community.

ISPB is strategically located in the center of Benguela City, next to Benguela General Hospital, allowing students easy access to the institution. On the other hand, its proximity to the hospital will allow several practical classes to be held in a real working environment, thanks to previously established agreements.

The Private Higher Education Institution called Instituto Superior Politécnico de Benguela is governed by the applicable legislation, Law no. 13/01, of December 31, by Decree 90/09, of December 15; by Executive Decree no. 26/11, of February 23; by Executive Decree no. 27/11, of February 23, and by Executive Decree no. 109/11, of August 5, or any other that may be approved, as well as by the rules of this Statute and also by the Regulations developed by the Promoting Entity.

The Instituto Superior Politécnico de Benguela has its headquarters in its own premises located at Av. Governador Moutinho, 125, in Benguela.
