The Atlântida Higher Polytechnic Institute, conceived and founded in 2012 and legalized by Presidential Decree No. 168 of July 24, 2012/2013, is located in the municipality of Belas, Kifica neighborhood, Luanda province. It is an institution endowed with statutory autonomy in pedagogical, scientific, cultural, administrative, financial, and asset management. It is a private establishment integrated into the academic region No. 1 of the higher education subsystem in Angola.
The current structure comprises four areas of knowledge: Health Sciences, Engineering and Technology Sciences, Management Sciences, and Social Sciences. A total of 15 undergraduate programs are offered, including degrees in Law, International Relations, Education, Psychology, Sociology, Business Management, Human Resources Management, Accounting, Economics, Nursing, Clinical Analysis, Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Pharmacy, and Physiotherapy.
The mission of the Atlântida Higher Polytechnic Institute (ISP-Atlântida) is to promote high-level qualification, the production, transmission, critique, and dissemination of knowledge, culture, science, and technology through study, teaching, and research.
Its goal is to be a global institution recognized for the quality of its research and excellence in its fields of expertise, capable of understanding the dynamics of societal transformation and supporting the development of the community it integrates through university extension.
