The Instituto Superior de Ciências da Educação de Luanda is a public higher education institution that has been training teachers, school managers and other education professionals and carrying out scientific research since the 80s. With scientific, pedagogical, administrative and financial autonomy under the legislation that creates public universities in Angola and Presidential Decree no. 146/12 of June 27, ISCED Luanda follows a structure based on a General Directorate assisted by two strategic areas (Scientific Area and Academic Affairs Area).

ISCED Luanda has 1 Center for Studies and Research in Educational Sciences, 8 Teaching and Research Departments, teaches 8 bachelor's degree courses and 5 master's degree courses, has more than 3000 students and more than 200 teachers with postgraduate degrees from some of the most prestigious European, African and American universities, has partnerships with the Ministry of Education, the Institute of Education of the University of Lisbon, the University of Évora, the Higher Institute of Education and Technology of Mozambique, the Institute of Educational Sciences of the Lusófona University and other institutions.
