The Instituto de Tecnologia Agro-Alimentar (ITA) is one of the organic units of the Universidade Rainha Njinga a Mbande, located in the province of Malanje. Inaugurated on October 13, 2020 by the President of the Republic, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, the ITA's main objective is to train professionals in the field of Engineering in Agro-Food Technology. To enter the institute, candidates must pass an entrance exam organized by the institution itself, and must have completed the 2nd cycle of general secondary education in the areas of physical and biological sciences, professional technical secondary education or equivalent, with mathematics, chemistry and biology subjects on their curriculum. The Agri-Food Technology Engineering course provides students with the skills and abilities needed to work in various areas, such as production, quality control, industrial planning, management, marketing, product development, food inspection, among others. ITA graduates are prepared to face the challenges of the agri-food sector, contributing to sustainable development and food safety.
