The Higher Institute of Information and Communication Technologies (ISUTIC) is a public higher education institution dedicated to promoting teaching and scientific research, as well as the creation, transmission, and dissemination of culture, science, and technology for the benefit of Angolan society, particularly the community in which it is located.
ISUTIC is overseen by the Ministerial Department of the Executive and is part of the Knowledge Technology Park in KM 7, CTTs neighborhood, which also includes ITEL, a Training Center, a Student Dormitory with a Canteen, a Campus, and future Business Incubators.
Mission
ISUTIC's mission is to carry out teaching, scientific research, and community service activities by promoting, disseminating, creating, and transmitting science and culture, as well as fostering and conducting scientific research in three areas of knowledge.
Objectives
ISUTIC’s primary objective is to provide full support for the creation of a Higher Education Institution that trains technical professionals in the field of information technology with excellence.
Our motto aligns with this objective, which we aim to achieve with our first graduates in 2017.
Our History
ISUTIC was founded in 2012 with the ambition to develop Angola.
The creation of the Higher Institute of Information and Communication Technologies (ISUTIC) dates back to 1985, through the Joint Executive Decree No. 29/85, dated April 29, from the Ministers of Education and Transport and Communications.
In 2001, the White Paper on Telecommunications was approved by the government, outlining new strategies and policies for telecommunications. In November 2004, the MCT requested the ITU to assess the feasibility of training higher-level professionals in the ICT field.
In March 2013, academic activities began at ISUTIC with the offer of two engineering courses (Telecommunications and Computer Science). Teaching activities are conducted in both morning and afternoon shifts.
